The word 'Mruda' in Sanskrit, which is an ancient language of India, actually means earth or soil, which is exactly where the brand gets its strength from. Code Mruda is a sustainable fashion brand, and it was born out of a passionate love for traditional craftsmanship and the beauty of the earth.
Our Mission
Rooted in Natural Materials
Every piece starts with what the earth gives us, bamboo cotton, hemp, linen, banana and soya fabric, coloured entirely with natural dyes like madder, indigo, and sappan wood. Because these tones come from plants rather than a factory, no two pieces are ever quite the same, and that's exactly the point.
Slow, By Design
We upcycle where we can, hand-embroider and crochet everything ourselves, and take the time each piece genuinely needs. It's a slower way of making things, and one we think is worth protecting.
